Modernization of Shuaiba Refinery

Replaced the existing control system with new Distributed Control Systems and associated equipment at the  Shuaiba Refinery.  Most of the work involved hot changeover due to the running refinery. The process units were controlled from an existing control room and the Boiler Plants were controlled from the Boiler Control Room.  Under this project there were nine satellite instrument houses and one new central control room. The field interface equipment such as DCS, ESD and PLC were to be installed on the respective SIHs and the new centralized DCS consoles and the associated equipment were to be installed in the new CCR for centralized control. All plant units were to be operated from the new CCR
